Visiting this site

The public site does not require a visitor account or use an advertising pixel. Optional first-party statistics are disabled until you choose Allow statistics. You can change this choice with Statistics settings in the footer. Hosting providers may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and protect the website.

Optional website statistics

With your permission, Ladder records aggregate counts of page visits, playback requests, actual player starts, timeline progress and completion events, outgoing YouTube clicks, inquiry-link clicks, archive search result counts, and browser performance. A click on an inquiry link does not establish that a message was sent. Playback progress can include seeking and does not prove continuous viewing.

We store the page path from a fixed list, the film identifier when relevant, a broad traffic-source category, screen-size category, and rounded performance values. We do not store visitor identifiers, IP addresses, full referring URLs, search text, email addresses, or message contents in the statistics tables. Hosting and external providers may still process technical requests as described below. Aggregate statistics are retained for up to 90 days. Testing is recorded separately.

Your allow/decline preference is stored in your browser's local storage. If you decline or withdraw permission, new statistics events stop. Existing aggregate counts cannot be linked back to you. Private reports are restricted to Ladder's authorized owner. The optional YouTube player API is used to measure playback events after permission and playback.

Saved film links on this device

If you use Save on this device, the browser or installed app stores up to 10 public film identifiers in local storage under ladder-saved-films-v1. This list is not sent to Ladder, Notion or an AI service, and it does not contain a downloaded film or synchronize across devices, browsers or installations. Remove individual links or choose Clear saved list on the Saved page. Clearing site data, private browsing or uninstalling may remove the list. Ordinary browsing and service requests remain available without using Saved.

Installable web app

The web app may keep a small offline-help page in your browser storage. It does not cache private inquiry or metrics records, and it does not queue requests while offline.

External services

Brand fonts are served with this website. Embedded YouTube videos use privacy-enhanced mode. Film records load a player after a play action; dedicated watch pages load the YouTube player when the page opens. Loading these resources shares technical request information with their providers. Their privacy policies govern their processing and retention. Links to other websites open services with their own policies.

Website requests and quotes

If you submit the request form, we store the service you select, your name, email, organization if supplied, project, brief, timing, optional budget, the originating page, a reference and the time of your request. We record your agreement to use these details to handle the request.

These business records are separate from optional website statistics. They are stored in Ladder’s hosted website database through Sites and Cloudflare, and access is restricted to Ladder’s authorized owner. When Ladder’s Notion connection is active, a copy of the submitted contact details, brief, timing, budget, reference and consent timestamp is stored in Ladder’s private Notion workspace for follow-up. Notion is a separate service with its own processing and retention policies. We use them to review the brief, respond, prepare a proposal and manage an agreed engagement. Submitting a request does not sign you up for marketing.

Unbooked requests are removed from the website database after 180 days without activity. Copies in Notion are reviewed separately; website deletion does not automatically delete those copies. If an engagement is agreed, relevant records may be retained for the working relationship and associated business requirements. You can contact Ladder about access, correction or deletion. A website receipt confirms that the request was saved; it does not establish that an email was delivered or that a booking or payment is confirmed.

The website does not collect card details or automatically charge for requests. Payment arrangements are agreed directly after scope and fees are confirmed.

Contact enquiries

Email links open your email application. If you write to Ladder, your email address, message, and any attachments are used to respond and manage the enquiry. Email is processed through the email providers involved. Please include only information relevant to your request.

Correspondence may be retained while an enquiry or resulting working relationship remains active, and where necessary for associated records or legal obligations. Contact Ladder about the retention or deletion of a particular message.

Your choices

You may contact Ladder to ask about access, correction, deletion, or objection to processing of your personal information, subject to applicable requirements. You may also raise a concern with the National Privacy Commission.
